Yaz Farooq enters her fourth season as head coach of the Stanford Women's Rowing program in 2009-10. Under Farooq's direction, Stanford earned the first national championship in program history and has thrice taken to the medal podium at the Pac-10 Championships, including as gold medalists in 2009. The women's eight has made three consecutive trips to the NCAA Championships, highlighted by winning the national championship in 2009 and claiming a national runner-up finish in 2008.
